Mishra G, Kumar N, Giri K, Pandey S, Kumar R. 2014. Effect of fungicides and bioagents on number of microorganisms in soil and yield of soybean (Glycine max). Nusantara Bioscience 6: 45-48. In field experiments, the effect of selected fungicides and bioagents on number of soil microorganisms and yield of soybean (Glycine max L. Merill) was investigated. The results showed that some of the crop protections preparations applied in the experiment (as seed dressing) increased the populations of the examined microorganisms after the harvest of crops. Maximum counts of bacteria were recorded with Thiomethaxam at 3 g kg while Pseudomonas at 3 g kg showed the highest population of fungi, Actinomycetes, Bradyrhizobium japonicum, PSB and Pseudomonas. The highest straw and grain yields of 3241.6 and 1439.4 kg ha, respectively, were recorded with Pseudomonas at 3 g kg.

Effect of winter planting on growth and seed yield of soybean (Glycine max L. Merr) genotypes in north Khuzestan in Iran

Sowing date and genotype are factors affect different growth stages and yield of soybean. To evaluate the effect of sowing date and genotype on seed yield of soybean a field experiment was carried out as split plot arrangement in randomized complete block design with three replications at Safiabad Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Education Center, Iran, in 2016 and 2018. The main...

Immediate responses of cyst nematode, soil-borne pathogens and soybean yield to one-season crop disturbance after continuous soybean in northeast China

Habitat disturbance affects numerous ecosystem components and processes, but its effect on continuous soybean system is less available. Soybean was seeded following six preceding crops, including grain soybean (Glycine max L. Merill.), wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.), tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.), corn (Zea mays L.) and hemp (Cannabis Satia L.), on a Mollisol ...

Relationship between Yield and its Component in Soybean Genotypes (Glycine Max L.) using Multivariate Statistical Methods

18 soybean genotypes were examined to investigate the relationships between some principal attributions of morphology with seed yield per soybean, by Random Complete Block Design (RCBD) study. This study was also carried out three replicates to gain reliable results. The results of variance analysis indicated that, there were significance differences among all soybean genotypes. Moreover, the r...

Effect of replacement ratios on plant traits and seed quality properties in intercropping of soybeans (Glycine max L. Merr) and niger (Guizotia abyssinica Cass.)

A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the competition of soybean intercropped with niger in different planting ratios using randomized complete block design with four replications at Sari agricultural sciences and natural resources university in 2018 and 2019. The intercropping ratios were 0:100, 25:75, 50:50, 75:25, and 100:0 (soybean:niger, respectively) using the replacement series. R...

Agronomic performance of two intercropped soybean cultivars

Broader environmental tolerance associated with mixed population of soybean (Glycine max Merr.) cultivars may increase soybean yield potential and play a significant role in yield stability. A field study was carried out to assess whether intercropping of two commonly used cultivars of soybean with different morphological characteristics may increase seed yield in Iran. A split-plot design was ...
